Rhythms for Life (Praying in the Spirit)

One of the rhythms that is life-giving for a Christian is prayer. Prayer is our God connection for daily life. Praying in the spirit (tongues) is an amazing gift that God has given us that enables us to pray without ceasing. Paul said, he who speaks in tongues edifies himself... (1 Cor 14:4). There are so many amazing benefits from praying in the spirit. 

The Day It All Began

In Acts 2 the church was birthed as Peter preached the first gospel message after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The promise of the Father, the oupouring of the Holy Spirit began on that day. This passage in Acts 2 also reveals the way that we are to respond to the gospel. 1) Repent 2) Be Water Baptized 3) Receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit. 

Rhythms for Life Part 2

There are certain activities that God has designed to be life-giving for us as God's kids (i.e. spending time in His Word, Prayer, etc.) These activities require discipline to implement into our daily life but after a season the need for discipline is gone because they have become a pattern or rhythm in our life. This message is focused on the importance of God's Word in our life.

Rhythms for Life

This is the first in a series about cultivating habits that are life-giving. As a Chrisitan, there are certain things that are life-giving for us. Reading the Word, praying, etc. These rhythms or habits that are life-giving require discipline at first but. But after a season of time, the discipline is no longer required because they have become a rhythm or pattern in our life. 

Culture Clash (Heaven's Culture vs Earth Culture)

We are living in a day when the culture of our nation is beginning to clash with the culture of the kingdom. The world's culture has always been different than the culture of heaven but because this nation was founded on godly principles, we have not seen the clash as much as we have the last few years. How are we, as God's people, to respond to what is happening around us?

The Cost

A message about the cost of being Jesus' disciple from the words of Jesus Himself. God deserves our whole lives. He deserves our full allegiance. He deserves our everything.
